PROLOGUE: The Roman Empire Gets Angry

roman emperor

Long ago there were empires that tried to rule the world. They sent armies far and wide to collect taxes from other places and to force the local Kings to obey them.

King Hiero of Syracus decided to make a deal with Rome. While he was the King, the people of Syracus were safe. But when his 15 year old grandson Hieronymos became King, he didn't realize how powerful the Roman army was. He made friends with Hannibal, an enemy of the Rome.

The Roman army was angry. They went to Syracus to teach them a lesson. Their greatest army commander, Marcellus, in charge of the attack. But it was the Roman Army who was taught a lesson. They faced a big problem in Syracus. An unexpected problem. A problem named Archimedes.
